The To Do List (Fall/Winter Edition)

Links: Blanket, Wreath, Burgundy Sweater, Initial Sweater, Green Dresser, Blue Sweater, Shelves

Shocker to see more than one post a week right? In fact, more than a post per month even! Actually, I'm hoping to be more frequent now.

School ended (for me and the man) on July 23rd. That means, this last month has been our summer break. Short but oh so sweet! Though to be fair, we aren't in school in the fall, so technically our break continues right into fall and a little bit of winter too.

With that month break, we took the opportunity to go up to Lake Pend Oreille/Priest River in Idaho for Stan's family reunion. Tugger and I then traveled back to Walla Walla with Stan's parents, where we spent 2 weeks with them and two weeks with my parents.

It's seriously BE-A-U-TI-FUL up there!

We were just in love with how much Tugger is looking like his Grandma!

Now I'm back, and I have a huge to-do list planned for the next 4 months before school starts up again.

If you frequently read the blog, Young House Love, you know that they have a series of posts dedicated to their to-do list for their entire house, "Listy McListerson" is his name. These posts, and the update posts about the list, are actually one of my favorites of their's, because you see all the progress they made in crazy time. To do list's have always worked well for me, and somehow I accomplish much more when it's written down than when it's not.

So without further ado, my own Listy McListerson:

Sewing:
  • Finish our bedroom decor pillows.
  • Finish the blouse I was making from the pattern (yes, that's still going on).
  • Make a quilt for Tugger, for a twin size bed.
  • Teach a sewing class or two.
  • Yellow quilt (I sort of have a ton of yellow material that needs a better use).
  • Sew a dress from a pattern.
  • A few random clothing sewing ideas.
  • Infinity Scarf, like the one below that I did last year. Maybe in a burgundy or deep purple?

Yep. I'm already thinking about scarfs. That's just what you do in a town that winters for 6 months out of the year.

I loved this Southwest print last year, and I think it will look great with the trends for this Winter too!

Decorating:
  • Build/buy a shelf for above the kitchen sink, my inspiration.
  • Under-sink storage for bathroom.
  • Reorganize closets, sewing area, desk (this one is already in the works).
  • Paint Tugger's dresser.
  • Redecorate Tugger's room into a toddler room that can grow with him, for Christmas/his birthday. I have a pinterest board already started here!

Crafting:
  • DIY plain grey and burgundy sweatshirts into graphic prints, like this and this.
  • Finish Tugger's baby book and start/finish our wedding album (I'm way behind, I know)!
  • Acid wash denim  (definitely a maybe project).
  • Fall Wreath DIY, I like this one in a different color maybe.
  • Fall/Winter knitting projects.

There you have it, 18 projects on the list, and about 18 weeks to complete them before school gets in my way and slows me down! Some may or may not get documented, but sharing this list is motivation in and of itself to complete most.

What's on you're Fall/Winter to-do list?
