The other was a button popping off my shirt, a good ole' Forever 21 button-up shirt. Now I'm not going to rip on the brand, cause they always have trendy inexpensive stuff, right up my ally. But it is inexpensive for a reason.
So what's a girl to do when she has multiple wardrobe malfunctions? Just smile and bear it! Since they weren't the worst things that could have happened, I just made due. The button was at the bottom of the shirt, so It was hardly noticeable and the purse had a little spot where I was able to attach the strap temporarily (while I was reattaching said strap, I may have half mumble my misfortune to an old man in the grocery store, who was far too kind and actually said sorry to me).
Wow, this all sounds like one big "#firstworldproblems" Facebook status and basically it is, but isn't that was a blog is all about?
Here's today's outfit, free of any malfunctions! May I add, that the errand running did prove very fruitful yesterday, I scored this Gap jean jacket at a thrift store and it is literally brand new! Also, the maxi skirt was made by me, you can find instructions on how to make it here.
What tips do you have to avoid wardrobe malfunctions? Or do you just pretend it didn't happen like I did?

Promise I'm not doing the disco. Top: Old Navy (here), Jacket: Gap thrifted (similar), Skirt: Made by me (tutorial), Sandals: Thrifted (similar wedges) |
By the way, we're donning our Yellow and Green in honor of Duck Season... the Oregon Ducks that is! |
Tender close up moment with my baby! |

I'm 100% jealous of your jacket score.
ReplyDeleteMy jaw dropped when I found it. I originally went searching for an older one that I could try to acid wash, but this was way better! No bleach is going to touch this baby.
