For the Love of Blogging

Tonight as my husband was studying about carbon foot prints and I was vigorously spraying any chemical I could to get the tomato sauce stains out of the microwave, I was thinking about what I wanted for this blog. A scripture and thought we discussed at church on Sunday came to mind: "Verily I say, men (women too) should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;" A woman in our class said "sometimes women are way too anxiously engaged (busy) but not always in the best cause."

That hit me. That is me a lot of the time. Right now I'm a wife to Stan, a mother to Tugger (nickname I will use to refer to him on my blog), and I'm a student at BYUI University studying Elementary Education. So to add crafting, sewing, and blogging is kind of crazy, right?

Well, back to what I want to do with this blog, all of these thoughts brought me to the realization that if I was going to do this, I needed rules for myself and I needed to add an aspect of family to the blog. So here is my list/plan:

  • The blog must not interfere with my family time and their needs.
  • Crafting and sewing will still be the focus because that is my passion and outlet for creativity.
  • I must be an advocate for families and teaching children on here.
  • I do not want to feel pressure to create or blog if I just don't have time.
  • Have fun with this!

I hope you will continue to follow me and keep me in line with these rules!

With that said here's what I have planned to blog about this week: Toddler Teepee Tutorial
