No Sew Scarf Tutorial

Okay, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has caught onto and loves the trending Sporty Chic look. I've been all over it since I'm a sporty, outdoorsy girl!

Recently I pinned this look and this look on pinterest because I loved how casual sporty they were. The other day I wanted to recreate it, but didn't have a good scarf to fit the look. Instead of buying one for $20 bucks, I made a couple for like $5 and about 15 minutes of my time. If you're looking for that sporty style but still trying to keep it warm this time of year, go make this scarf! Like Yesterday!

Supplies:
  • 1/2 yard of fleece (currently 50% off!)
  • Cutting Mat
  • Cutting Guide
  • Rotary Cutter

Tutorial:

Step 1: Lay out your 1/2 yard of fabric as flat as can be, on top of the cutting mat.

Step 2: Square up your four sides, trimming off any excess that is uneven.

Step 3: Fold fabric in half, matching up the two ends of the scarf.

Step 4: With your cutting guide over the fabric, measure 5 inches up from the ends.

Step 5: Cut small strips, 5 inches long and less than 1/2 an inch wide, all the way across the ends of the scarf. ***Make sure you're cutting through both layers of fabric.

And that's it, you're finished! Pair it with your favorite tennis shoes and a neutral sweatshirt for that casual sporty look, then head off on that cold walk around the city or on a hike in the mountains!
