Graphic Letter "E" Sweatshirt Tutorial

I loved this simple sweatshirt before I printed my first initial on it, but I knew it would be better if I added a graphic to it. Graphic print sweatshirts are all the rage this fall and winter, so I went for it. Not wanting it to be too matchy-matchy with all those options out there, I went with a big bold letter "E", making it more personal.

The inspirations was from the hint of a bold letter I saw on this pin.

It looked like an E but as it turns out it's an F. Anyway, I couldn't find the exact product source, but it was great inspiration none the less!

The process is like my other freezer paper stencil tutorials, here and here.

Step 1: Create a stencil and print it out on freezer paper. Cut out your bold letter with an exacto knife (the weird shape of the black outline was just me trying to preserve ink like a boss).

Step 2: Iron the letter onto your sweatshirt or t-shirt.

Step 3: Place a piece of cardboard in between your shirt so that the ink doesn't go through.

Step 4: Paint inside the stencil with fabric ink or fabric paint.

Step 5: Let it dry over night, then iron it to set ink. Wear!

Sweatshirt (Old Navy) printed by me, Pants (Walmart), Socks (Old Navy in store)

Freezer paper stencils are literally the greatest thing since Saturday morning cartoons I tell you! You will be hooked once you try!

What fun projects have you been up to? Christmas is coming, are you thinking freezer paper stenciled gifts?!! As always comment or email with questions.
